Harvey Finally Finds Audience Who Can't 'Family Feud' Their Way Out of War Crimes"
In a surprise move, famed game show host Steve Harvey has been hired to serve as a judge at the ongoing Nuremberg Trials, according to sources close to the proceedings.
Harvey, best known for hosting shows like Family Feud and The Steve Harvey Show, is said to have been brought on to bring a bit of levity to the courtroom, which has been mired in serious accusations and gruesome testimony.
"Steve has a unique way of making people laugh, even in the most serious of situations," said one source. "We thought it might be helpful to have him around to break the tension and lighten the mood."
And break the tension he did. As soon as Harvey entered the courtroom, he immediately set to work cracking jokes and making wisecracks about the defendants.
"Okay, okay, settle down now," Harvey said as he took his seat at the bench. "Let's get this show on the road. We've got some real characters here, don't we?"
The audience, which included judges, prosecutors, and even some of the defendants, couldn't help but chuckle at Harvey's quips.
They did WHAT?
"Hey, Goering, what's with the mustache?" Harvey joked, referring to Hermann Goering, one of the highest-ranking officials in the Nazi Party. "You trying to look like Charlie Chaplin or something?"
The quips continued throughout the trial, with Harvey taking jabs at everything from the defendants' uniforms to their hairstyles.
But despite the lighthearted atmosphere, Harvey made sure to remind everyone that the proceedings were serious and that justice needed to be served.
"I may be a comedian, but I know when to be serious," Harvey said as the trial came to a close. "We may have laughed a little, but let's not forget the gravity of what has happened here. These men need to be held accountable for their actions."
Harvey's appearance at the trial has been praised by some as a welcome relief from the often-grim proceedings.
"Having Steve around really lightened the mood," said one prosecutor. "It's important to remember that we're all human, even in the face of such terrible atrocities."
At the time of publication, it is unclear whether Harvey will continue to serve as a judge at the trial, but one thing is certain: he's brought a bit of laughter to an otherwise somber event.
“When I was a kid camp was for fun.”
